Financing a Building

The process for financing company purchases of factories and offices for business purposes is similar to residential mortgages: all lenders love bricks and mortar !

An important difference is that lenders generally require higher deposits which many business provide via directors' super funds; accessing equity in your home may also provide a solution.

The lenders take a mortgage over the property in the same way they would with a residential transaction.

Before you decide to go forward with the purchase route we recommend you speak with your accountant or other adviser and get independent advice; there are important tax considerations involved and often it may pay you to remain a tenant until you are in a perfect position to own your own premises.
